Workshops

Wee Folk Doll Making

Salley Mavor will teach a workshop

Wee Folk Doll Making, age 16 to adult, 21-25 July, 9-noon

Falmouth Academy

Highfield Drive, Falmouth, MA

Enter the delightful world of the wee folk and learn how to make tiny, bendable dolls and fairies dressed in wool outfits. Students will make basic doll-house sized figures and then create their own world of characters. The class is best suited for those who enjoy working in small scale and students should have experience with basic embroidery stitches.

Salley has taught doll making at quilting and embroidery guilds around the country as well as the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina. Her how-to book, Felt Wee Folk: Enchanting Projects will be used in the class.
